I also found another article online dealing with this same subject, i suggest you check that out too:
The Interview Process

Great info for job seekers. As a supervisor and career coach, I know this information works, and its time tested. I especially love your insights for question 4.

"How Does Your Previous Experience Relate to the Jobs We Have Here?" Benrick, I really like your sample answer to such types of questions like the part where it goes "other people with better credentials than yours will want the job you're after. You can even mention this, and then explain why you are a better choice" - Tackling this subject in my opinion, really shows you are a confident person even if you are not the best applicant on PAPER!Coz what really really matters is how you perform on the job and if you are motivated enough the sky's the limit! Attitude one of the most important things! I also like the part where it talks about how you overcome the hurdle of moving to a different industry or role...myself and many people I know have faced this problem and this answer is similar to the way I overcame it by stressing what I learnt from my previous role or the unique qualities I have which will make me a better candidate for this role..these words more or less say that you are fully aware of what the role requires and know that you have what it takes "While this job is in a different industry, it will also require my skills in managing people and meeting the public. In fact, my daily contact with large numbers of people on previous jobs has taught me how to work under pressure. I feel very able to deal with pressure and to get the job done". Good Stuff! Keep it coming!
